Weekend Brunch
It's been a while since I last blogged. My sincerest apologies to all of the three people who read my blog (thanks guys, thanks mum! :) )
So, if any of you know me personally in London, you will know that there are very few weekends that go by without a visit to this local cafe down the street, Pimlico Fresh. Mostly visited by neighborhood folk, this cozy cafe offers some delicious, high-quality grub that's perfect for breakfast, brunch or snacking.
A lot of their menu is organic and local, for those of you for whom this matters. And no doubt, you can "taste the difference" because you know its high quality produce going in. I highly recommend the Spanish eggs with chorizo, spinach and feta. If its cravings you need to answer to, order the french toast with bacon and maple syrup. For those who can show some restraint, try the porridge with your choice of berry compote, pumpkin seeds, agave honey and/or some other tasty toppings.
The (Monmouth) coffee they serve is great. For anyone that knows coffee in London-I won't pretend I'm part of that group- this is a real cuppa Joe. Their freshly squeezed orange juice is totally worth the £2 as well, especially since you can see the big squeezy machine that assures you there is no non-orangey crap in it.
If your stopping by for a cup of tea or some snackies, try the carrot cake. Both the organic carrot cake or the carrot cake with ginger are super. I HAD to try both for blogging purposes of course.
Pimlico Fresh is a great little neighborhood cafe that is definitely worth a visit (even if you don't live in Pimlico). The prices are pretty typical of London. Brunch with a drink should set you back a tenner. Word of advice- since everyone got this memo a long time back the place is always packed. Try visiting on a weekday if you can or after brunch on weekends to be guaranteed seating.
